Some tips for sending in alpaca fiber to NEAFP for "PacaBucks" credit:
1) NEAFP does not require fleece to be sorted. Save yourself some time there but please do not submit flawed fleeces with vegetable matter, POO or other major contaminates.
2) Small bags of individual fleeces/grades should be combined into larger plastic bags. Contractor Bags, Yard Waste Bags, and 55 Gallon Drum Liners work best. This then is put in a big box to mail. If you end up with over 100 lbs of total fiber, we can help you get it shipped by Freight, which is cheaper.
3) Each large plastic bag submitted should contain a copy of your Fiber Bank Deposit Slip. This is needed to establish your credit for the fleece.
4) Let PurelyAlpaca know (by email please to fiber@purelyalpaca.com) what and how much you are sending when you ship it to receive proper credit.
Let us know if you have any questions (please review our FiberCall form as it covers a lot of points) and thank you for helping to support the development of the American Alpaca Industry!
