All Naturally Colored Luxury Alpaca Blankets from Ecuador
Growing up in San Diego within walking distance of the beach has made me a little weather spoiled. I like to say "Anything over 72 is hot and anything under 72 is cold".
Recently we moved away to a climate where winter nights are a lot colder then I'm used to. Struggling with keeping warm at night we ran the heater the first few weeks. Not used to forced air, I spent the next few weeks feeling like I was suffocating at night and with horribly dry skin and lips. Not the solution.
We decided to give one of our heavy Ecuador Alpaca Blankets a try. After a few weeks I will tell you, I am really in love with this blanket. The added warmth allows us to use less propane and electricity! The 7 pound blanket adds enough extra weight to keep me comfortably sleeping though the night. No more restless legs! I'm warm and comfortable. A few nights we tried it with an electric blanket underneath. We heated up the bed (so the sheets were nice and warm) and then turned it off when we went to bed.The Ecuador Alpaca Blanket holds the warmth in all night!
We are using the blanket on our Eastern King bed. It fits just to the edges, but as a layering blanket it is perfect.
